A short jump to the small and ancient chapel inside the amphitheater built around the fourth century for the religious ceremonies of the Christians of Durres which coincided with the beginning of the fall of the Roman Empire and you from there you can gaze the marvelous 6-7th-century byzantine mosaic. 2) Then proceeding for 200 m in another destination , today a cultural monument built in 1502 after the Turkish conquest . 3) Next stop will be located in one of the oldest quarters of the city of Durres, among the oldest characteristic houses of the city, the restored church of Saint Lucia evokes respect for his religion, ministers, and prelates, as well as nostalgia and hope for the future of believers and the Church. 4)Our promenade will be driven to another cult building, to the church of St. Paul And Astia . Apostle Paul and Saint Astius have always been popular Orthodox saints in the community of Durres, several churches have been consecrated in their honor. This temple was erected opposite the place where the church of St. Spyridon was located (demolished in 1967) and the house of the metropolitan stood (now in ruins).
